Renegade Savior (Original Painting)
This original painting is part of Brad Antifolk's "Anarchy of the Abstract series."
It is Acrylic Paint, Ink and Epoxy Resin on a 16" x 20" gallery wrapped canvas. The back is wire mounted and ready to hang.
All compositions are an excuse to outline color. As a child coloring books and comic books were my first introductions to art and it was the lines that stuck with me.
The resin traps the ink in and makes the colors pop. It also allows you to TOUCH the piece. The shine and reflection makes the piece different from most angles.
From the early days of the global pandemic, this piece is meant to show hope. The title comes from an old Mary Lou Lord cover of a Pete Droge song. I think the idea of a savior who is not a renegade is laughable. This piece is from the "Anarchy of the Abstract" series.
The painting includes wire and hardware, so it is ready to hang.
Completed in May of 2020.
Remember that the resin makes it shine and that there is beauty in imperfection.
