Some Guy on Canvas (Original Painting) (SOLD)
This original painting is part of Brad Antifolk's "Anarchy of the Abstract series."
It is Acrylic Paint outlined in Ink and covered in Resin on a 16" x 20" gallery wrapped canvas.
All compositions are an excuse to outline color. As a child coloring books and comic books were my first introductions to art and it was the lines that stuck with me.
The resin traps the ink in and makes the colors pop. It also allows you to TOUCH the piece. The shine and reflection makes the piece different from most angles.
This is a portrait of local Dallas artist Brandon Harris that I was in a collective with in 2019. On instagram he goes by SomeGuyOntheGram, so it was only natural that he should be Some Guy on Canvas.
The painting includes wire and hardware, so it is ready to hang.
Completed in January of 2019.
Remember that the resin makes it shine and that there is beauty in imperfection.
