On the Brink of Eruption (Original Painting)
This original painting is part of Brad Antifolk's "Anarchy of the Abstract series."
It is Acrylic Paint outlined in Ink and covered in Resin on a 24" x 24" gallery wrapped canvas.
All compositions are an excuse to outline color. As a child coloring books and comic books were my first introductions to art and it was the lines that stuck with me.
The resin traps the ink in and makes the colors pop. It also allows you to TOUCH the piece. The shine and reflection makes the piece different from most angles and always seem to look much better in person.
I feel like I'm a volcano, on the brink of eruption Right now I'm just a psycho, hell bent on self destruction. The pandemic brings out a lot of emotions.
The painting includes wire and hardware, so it is ready to hang.
Completed in July of 2020.
