Weekend Lover (Original Painting)
This original painting is part of Brad Antifolk's "Anarchy of the Abstract series." It is Acrylic Paint outlined in Ink and covered in Resin on a 30" x 40" gallery wrapped canvas.
All compositions are an excuse to outline color. As a child coloring books and comic books were my first introductions to art and it was the lines that stuck with me. The resin traps the ink in and makes the colors pop. It also allows you to TOUCH the piece. The shine and reflection makes the piece different from most angles.
I love the way that the circles play in this one. The design is similar to a couple of paintings that I have completed in the past. The way that the purple kind of pops against the teal is fun in person.
The painting includes wire and hardware, so it is ready to hang.
Completed in March of 2021.
