Some Call That Anarchy (Original Painting) (SOLD)
This original painting is part of Brad Antifolk's "Anarchy of the Abstract series." It is Acrylic Paint outlined in Ink and covered in Resin on a 30" x 40" gallery wrapped canvas.
All compositions are an excuse to outline color. As a child coloring books and comic books were my first introductions to art and it was the lines that stuck with me. The resin traps the ink in and makes the colors pop. It also allows you to TOUCH the piece. The shine and reflection makes the piece different from most angles.
I knew I wanted to paint a heart for a bit. This was one of the first or maybe the first figurative pieces in the series. The title comes from a line from a Pat the Bunny song. "I don't believe in Cops, bosses or politicians. Some call that anarchism. I call it having a f***ing heart that beats.
The painting includes wire and hardware, so it is ready to hang.
Completed in August of 2018.
